Update 5.45: Police are attempting to clear one lane after a crash on SH2 in Te Puna.
Traffic is currently being diverted down Te Puna Station Rd, after a two vehicle crash this afternoon.

Update 5.04pm: A police spokesperson has confirmed a two car crash on SH2 in Te Puna.
He said there were no injuries but one lane was blocked, and traffic was building up.
Earlier:
Fire spokesperson Colin Underdown says a unit is at the scene but no-one is trapped.
A caller to SunLive says traffic is so bad it has taken him 25 minutes to get from Bethlehem to Wairoa River Bridge.

wait till the tepuna roundabout gets started oh and finished just another roundabout to slow the traffic down ques to kati & back to cbd.. life is good

The more road congestion we have in Tauranga the more reasonable council's request to central government for road funding - so there is no incentive on council to improve city roading.
