Took me one hour 45min to get from Katikati to Tga.The accident site was on a gentle curve on a wide section of road.Head on or nose to tail I dont know but whatever it was the drivers should not have a license to be on the road if they could negotiate this section of road.

Would be great if passing lanes were closed during these events. So many disrespectful drivers queue jumping. Its pretty simple common courtesy to not use the passing lane.

Wow, so much 'judgement going on. Hapukafin....have you never heard of 'sudden medical events'...I for one had a TOTALLY UNEXPECTED heart attack. Also, tyres can blow out etc. NR....IF it is possible to have a lane open and usable it should happen in my opinion. Anything else just creates MORE potential accidents/pile-ups etc. Also, many people have very important reasons they may need to 'continue on their journey'. So long as people drive through the scene calmly, slowly and with respect I think that is quite acceptable.

Get some bloody dividers. Concrete blocks to separate opposing traffic. Should be mandatory when building roads with limits > 80~100

and more inconsiderate driving it seems
