Police report that a person was arrested following a crash in Merivale early Saturday morning.

The vehicle came to the attention of Police due to the manner of driving around 12.45am.

A police spokesperson says the driver failed to stop for Police before crashing on Merivale Road.

A SunLive reader reported seeing a car being pursued by Police before it crashed near the Merivale shops ending up against the park fence on Surrey Grove.

No injuries were reported and one person was arrested.
