Police report that one person has been injured in a vehicle collision at Mount Maunganui this evening.
The crash occurred about 10.35pm on Thursday between two cars at the intersection of Hull Rd and Totara St.
One person sustained moderate to serious injuries and has been taken to Tauranga Hospital.
There have been no road blockages as a result of the collision and the road is now clear.

There is no reason for an accident like this at that intersection. Visibility is good, speed limits are 60kph... doesn't make any sense.

Cellphones,inattention,alcohol,drugs,speed that is why we read about so many accidents each day.The drivers in this country need to have a good look at themselves.
