Police confirm that there were no injuries following a single car collision this morning on State Highway 2, north of Katikati.

"A car collided with a fence just before 11.30am," says a Police spokesperson.

"It appears to be at or near the intersection of SH2 and Hikurangi Rd.

"Fortunately there were no injuries.

"The car is still there and will be towed as soon as that can be arranged."

It is understood that there are no traffic holdups.
