Motorists are being warned to expect delays following a two-vehicle collision on Maunganui Road this evening.

Police were advised of a crash at the crossroads of Matapihi and Girven Road at 4.41pm, says a spokesperson.

The police spokesperson says the road was initially blocked but has since been cleared.

A New Zealand Transport Agency alert says motorists are advised to expect delays.

"Take extra care and allow extra time for your journey."

There are no reported injuries.
