There are no reports of injuries following a house fire in Hairini overnight.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand northern fire communications shift manager Craig Dally says they received a call about a blaze at a property in Waimapu Pa Rd.

'The house was well alight when crews arrived,” says Dally.

'We received the call at 23.44pm.”

Three fire trucks from the Greerton, Mount Maunganui and Tauranga stations, as well as Police attended the scene.

Dally says there were no reports of any injuries, nor of anyone being inside the house at the time of the fire.

'Crews left the scene at 2.30am. They stayed until then to make sure everything was out,” says Dally.

'We attended but are not taking any further action,” says a Police spokesperson.
