12.15pm update: There are 96 properties at Mount Maunganui that are still without power.

Power has been restored to the 483 Mount Maunganui properties and 180 Waikino properties that had a power outage earlier in the day.

Powerco report that a site investigation is underway wtih the remaining Mount Maunganui properties.

There is a power outage in Mount Maunganui.

At 9.44am, there was a power cut to 483 properties in Mount Maunganui.

A site investigation is underway. Power is expected to be restored by 1.45pm.

There was an earlier power cut in Mount Maunganui at 8.18am affecting 96 properties. Power to these properties is expected to be restored by 12.30pm.

There are also 180 properties without power in Waikino, Waihi.

The power outage occurred at 5.57am. A site investigation is underway.
