A water shutdown will be in place in some parts of Gate Pā on Wednesday, April 26, between 9am to 4pm.

Tauranga City Council staff say this to allow for the renewal of water mains.

Armadillo 2007 Limited is a Tauranga City Council approved contractor and will be isolating the water supply in the areas listed between the hours shown. All Armadillo staff carry identification and can produce this if requested.

Affected area:

• Tuthill Street: 30, 34, 35, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43
• Carnie Street: all properties
• Scott Street: all properties
• Bongard Street: all properties
• Wylie Street: all properties
• Bush Street: all properties
• Jones Street: all properties.

The shutdown times of 9am - 4pm are expected to be accurate.

"However sometimes circumstances beyond our control (equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances) can cause the shutdown to extend beyond the times stated,' says a council spokesperson.

"We apologise should this occur. If you or a member of your household depends on water for critical medical support that requires a continuation of water supply – please ensure you make alternative arrangements for the times stated.".
