Fire emergency services are attending a house fire in Greerton.

The house is located on Roys Road, between Fraser Street and Yatton Street.

"It's a single storey residential dwelling," says Fire Emergency NZ Northern Shift Manager Paul Radden.

"The fire is in the roof."

Paul says three fire trucks are at the scene.

It is unknown if anyone was present inside the house when the fire started, and the cause of the fire is unknown.
