Head along to the market at Mount Mainstreet, Mount Maunganui to meet the team from the Tauranga Pest Trap Library. Borrow for up to three months some free traps for your backyard and obtain quality advice. Take care of pesky possumes, stoats and rats, and make your backyard predator free.

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than to to go shopping in the beautiful outdoors of Papamoa while supporting the community? Come and enjoy the Papamoa Lions Club Market at Gordon Spratt Reserve from 8am - 12pm. The stalls range from food, crafts, plants, produce, sporting goods, clothing, bric-a-brac and much more! You never know what you'll find! The market which is held on the second and fourth Sunday of each month has been going strong since 2001. Profits from the markets go to where they are needed most, locally and around the world.

From 1pm - 4pm, entertain your children at the Winter Bounce Day at Welcome Bay Community Hall. Two Bouncy Castles will be set up for the kids to bounce, laugh and have fun while parents  sit down, relax and chat with friends.Table and chairs will be set up as well as a kids' table with chairs for eating, resting or to do some colouring in.Entry cost is $6 for unlimited bounce time.

Come and help restore and protect our precious sand dunes! Be prepared to have plenty of fun digging and planting while giving back to papatūānuku. Coast Care Bay of Plenty will be planting in the dunes near Omanu Surf Lifesaving Club, Mount Maunganui from 10am - 12pm. Bring along your friends and family, covered sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for gardening! Meet near the carpark by the club. Look for the Coast Care flag.

Join Frocks on Bikes for their outing today. Their ride incorporates the Truck Blindzone demonstration being organised by the Tauranga Council Cycle team. This is a great opportunity to sit in a big truck and see where the blindspots are when you are cycling next to the truck. Frocks on Bikes will meet at the Hockey Centre carpark Kawaka St, check out the demonstration, then cycle over the Tauranga Harbour Bridge and Matapihi Bridge. There will be a coffee stop at Mixture before heading back to the start point.
