On Friday, April 26, the front is forecast to move northwards over the North Island bringing brief heavy rain to some places.
There is low confidence in warning amounts of rain during the morning for Bay of Plenty east of Whakatane. There is low confidence that severe northwest gales will affect exposed places before dawn in the north Canterbury High Country, Marlborough Sounds, Wellington and Wairarapa south of Masterton.
