Reports are coming in of a truck crash on Waihi Road in Tauranga.

A Tauranga City Council spokesperson says a rubbish truck and car have crashed near the intersection of Nicholas Place.

"Emergency services are currently on scene.

"The road is still open but delays may occur."

A police spokesperson says they received a report of a collision involving a car and a truck at the intersection of Waihi Road and Nicolas Place around 8.45am.

They say there are currently no reports of injuries or road blockages.
