Tauranga motorists are reminded that there may be delays at night over the next two to three weeks, between Tauranga Bridge Marina and Hewletts Road.
Resurfacing work on SH2 Hewletts Road from Tasman Quay to the Harbour Bridge Marina begins tonight, Sunday May 5.
NZTA Waka Kotahi says that the resurfacing work will continue nightly until Wednesday, May 22.
The road works will be undertaken from 8.30pm to 5.30am each night.
"Contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place," says an NZTA spokesperson.
"Expect minor delays."
