Emergency services are responding to a house fire in Matapihi, Tauranga.
“We received the call at 11.38am,” said Fire and Emergency NZ northern shift manager Josh Pennefather.
“We arrived to find a single level dwelling fire, approximately five by five metres.
“The dwelling was totally involved in fire.”
The Mount Maunganui and Tauranga fire stations responded to the fire, located in Matapihi Station Road.
Pennefather said there are no reports of injuries.
“Everybody was out of the building. The fire has been extinguished and we are working to dampen down hot spots.
“We still have two fire trucks in attendance as well as a fire investigator.”
