He will be one to watch in the final showdown at Piha this weekend, but with Macka Hazard of North Narrabeen and Jacob Haines of Raglan right on his toes, the Under 18 Boys division will be a guaranteed ‘edge of your seat’ finish.
The Under 18 Girls Division is an exciting battle with current leader Maya Mateja of Raglan dominating the rankings with back-to-back wins in Event 1 and 2 of the grom series.
She will be looking for a threepeat in Piha, however, Mount Maunganui surfer Sage Fritchley has been on form this season and will be hot on her heels, looking for her first win of the series.

She will look for a final win in the event to solidify her spot in the New Zealand Junior team and earn the title of 2025 Billabong Grom Series Champion.
Just over 500 points separate her and Northland’s Indi-Lee Ruddell who is looking for her first event 1 after two second place finishes in two events.
In form local surfer Kyra Wallis has had a stellar start to the year coming agonisingly close with a 4th and 3rd place finish in the past two events, at home in the powerful west coast waves, Wallis is a strong contender for the win this weekend.
Gisborne’s Jaxon Pardoe who has found his form in 2025 is being chased by a big pack of surfers in the hotly contested Under 14 Boys Division.
