A motorbike caught fire in Tauranga this afternoon, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand received reports of the blaze at 12.47pm and dispatched the Greerton Fire Brigade to Illa Park in Hairini.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and left the area at 1.10pm, Fire and Emergency said.
The park, between Greerton and Welcome Bay, is a popular spot for families and walkers.
The fire was contained before it could spread to surrounding vegetation.
Police were notified by Fire and Emergency at 12.50pm. No action was required, police said.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
