The Tauranga Society of Artists Seasonal Exhibition is to be held this weekend.

Members are exhibiting their original art works to the public for the second time in 2012.

Tauranga Society of Artists' work goes through a stringent selection process before it is accepted for hanging at the exhibition.

This ensures a high standard and visitors to the exhibition can expect to see an exciting variety of genres on show.

Works are selected on technique, composition, use of a particular art medium and quality of presentation.

There will be works of art in oils, water colour, acrylics, pastel, mixed media. As in past years the works are displayed in groupings by the same artist.

Last year there were 48 Artists showing 140 original works of art and it is anticipated that the quality in this year's exhibition will be just as good.

The exhibition is presented in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and everyone is welcome to come along.

In previous years the exhibition has been very popular and has attracted hundreds of people over the two days it has run.

Many compliments have been received about the high standard and presentation of the TSoA's Seasonal Exhibitions.

The Tauranga Society of Artists is grateful for the sponsorship of the Otumoetai Doctors at the Otumoetai Health Centre.

An evening session is run for those unable to attend daytime activities. Tutorial lessons for members are very popular and are held most weeks.

The Seasonal exhibition will show Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October in the Tauranga Contract Bridge Club building at 252 Ngatai Road, near the roundabout at Cherrywood.

Entry is by gold coin donation and there is plenty of parking in the grounds near the building.
