Tauranga City Council's computer systems have crashed this morning, limiting all business to phones only.
Council communications manager Aimee Driscol says the system failed about 10.30am.
The computer system at the council in the CBD is down.
'All our systems have gone offline. Customers are not able to complete business with council by any of our online systems.
'Council apologises for any inconvenience and is working to resolve the issue as soon as we can.”
The council call centre is still able to take calls.
Customers can call 07 577 000 if they have any questions.

when you replace permanent staff with contractors. I predict that they will be down for at least 2 days and the outcome will be a recommendation to Council that they spend yet another bucket of money on more equipment. This sort of thing never happened under the previous management.
