Thames and Coromandel motorists are being warned to take care on the roads this morning due to fog and black ice in the Waikato.

Waikato Police report there is thick fog across the district and black ice in shaded parts of Thames and Coromandel.

Drivers are asked to take care on the roads, slow down and drive to the conditions.
