Police investigate incident in Te Puke

Police are investigating an incident where a man is reported to have entered a Te Puke home, allgedly threatening the occupants with a knife.

A police spokesperson says they were called to the potential home invasion on Cameron Road on Monday night.

"Police remained at the scene overnight on Monday and have continued an investigation into the incident on Tuesday."

A SunLive reader reports that the house on Cameron Road was cordoned off by Police.

"[There have been] two patrol cars, along with a plain clothes car onsite," says the SunLive reader.

"The house was cordoned off with Police tape."
