The Mount Maunganui Half Marathon, incorporating 21km half marathon, 10km and 5km options is being held at Mount Maunganui this morning. Please be aware some roads may be closed or down to one lane for traffic while the festival of running is on.

The Mount Pickleball Club is hosting the Mount Pickleball Classic, with competitors from around New Zealand here for the national tournament this weekend at Mercury Baypark Arena. Competition is happening Saturday and Sunday from 7.30am - 5pm.

Head along to the Mount Sports Centre for a roller disco with Skatescool Tauranga from 2-4pm. All ages and abilities are welcome. Basic instruction and tips, Disco music, lights, fog machine and limbo competitions are all part of the fun of the roller discos. Each session runs for two hours. Skates are available for hire and protective padding is provided.
