Despite the rain this morning, the Te Puke Nagar Kirtan Sikh Parade is still on this morning, with organizers keeping a close eye on conditions. The parade will depart from the Sikh Temple at N.o. 3 Road at 11am, and go through the streets of Te Puke, along Jellicoe Street to the Oxford Street roundabout before heading back to the temple to continue celebrations, including free food and drinks for all attendees.

It's time for a Saturday session with the Self Righteous Brothers. Derek and Nigel are back with an eclectic selection of blues, country, folk, jazz and anything else that takes their fancy. Expect stripped-back takes on Kokomo tunes, a few Bob Dylan/Guy Clark/John Prine songs, some old Delta blues and early ragtime, all with harmonies, some groovy upright bass and a dash of slick and sparkling acoustic guitar. Head along to Jack Dusty's Alehouse from 2pm to enjoys some music from Derek and Nigel.

The biggest art exhibition in the Bay of Plenty is back better than ever! With over 600 paintings for sale, including affordable tiny art, larger paintings and everything in between, in different styles and mediums, there will be something for everyone.
Painting and drawing demonstrations will be held each day, cards will be for sale and the Tauranga Floral Art group will be guest exhibitors. Also come along and see who wins the Supreme Art Award, the top honour for Tauranga Society of Artists members. Have your say on your favourite painting and vote in the People's Choice Award. This is a gold coin donation event held at Tauranga Boys' College gymnasium, and runs from 9am - 5pm today Saturday September 30, and 9am - 4pm tomorow, Sunday, October 1.
