Multiple fire trucks and fire fighters are at the scene of a house fire in Pāpāmoa.
A Fire Emergency NZ northern shift manager says they received multiple calls to a house fire in Pāpāmoa around 3.50pm.
"On arrival we found a residential house well involved on fire," says the FENZ spokesperson.
"We are now at a second alarm level."
FENZ says five fire trucks from the four stations- Pāpāmoa, Mount Maunganui, Greerton and Te Puke - are attending the fire.
"At this stage we are still working to extinguish the fire."
"It’s on Pompano Key, Pāpāmoa," says a SunLive reader.
Black smoke can be seen billowing above the street.
It is unknown at this stage if there are any injuries or how the fire started.
