Join in for the ultimate Superhero Celebration Walk, at Coronation Park, Mount Maunganui from 9am, while raising funds for Waipuna Hospice. Bring your friends and family for a fun day out celebrating the superheroes in your life. Dress up isn't compulsory, but there will be prizes up for grabs for best dressed! Registration opens at 9am, with the celebration walk kicking off at 10am. Tickets are $20 for adults over 18 and $10 for children, with under 5s free. Get a family pass for 2 adults and 2 kids for $50. This event celebrates the end of the Waipuna Hospice's 2024 Superhero Walk fundraiser.

The Tauranga Armageddon Expo has brought its signature brand of pop culture chaos to the Bay of Plenty region this weekend, bringing with it a line-up of celebrities, including actors from Stargate, Demon Slayer, Star Wars, Dragon Ball and more. Head along to Wharf Street in Tauranga for some live free jazz this afternoon from 12pm - 3pm. It's almost national Jazz Fest time in Tauranga and Tauranga City Council have got local Jazz musicians live and free in Wharf Street to get you in the groove leading up to the festival.
Head along to your favourite bars and eateries in Wharf Street and enjoy jazzy beats with Nü Jazz Band Drosan performing as a trio. Expect some experimental jazz improv and original songs, these guys are not to be missed!
